Biography:

Well, I'm born in Anno Domini 1978, (1)4. of July which implies that I'm 20 years old. My height is 192 cm, or some six feet and change :).(I'm not sure about that). And, I forgot, I was born in Prijedor (Republic of Srpska) where I lived untill I (temporary) moved to Belgrade (Federal Republic of Yugoslavia) to study New Technologies. But let's not rush; I will talk about it later... so ...I have started to use computers in my 10th year of life when I've got a Commodore 64. As many of us, in the beginning I was a 'normal' user which means game player. After some time I have started to play soccer manager games. And after that I have discovered the BASIC lead by the wish to make one game of my own. Some two years later my friend has got a PC!! In that time... it was around 90-91 ... PC wasn't actually a great thing to play on it, was it? But, however, I was impressed with HARD DISK (!!!) and all those other mysterious things in it. He had a 12 MHz PC with 20 Megs HDD and one1Mb RAM with Hercules graphics adapter. I still remember that time. And at that point I have stopped in my computer knowledge development. And few years later, by the sign of God I was Enlightened and pointed to go into one local computer engineering company. To that company I owe most of my basic knowledge, and basically the way of my life is going to be in computered direction probably thanks to that company. However, I came there early war years, around spring '93 and stood there 'till I guess beginning of '97. There I have come to touch with various operative systems (Unix-likes, MS DOS, Windows of course and even VMS). I have learned the basics of Pascal and C, but after I have discovered the modem, and I knew, for me, the world started to spin. I spent many, many hours chatting on SEZAM (for those who might have remember username:mediaco). First, there were downloadings of files. Afterwards I have discovered the conferences. Normally, then, I have only read about Internet. That was something far, far, for me. Year later,... Me and My friend Branko S. Bokan (later here will be a hyperlink) started the first BBS in Republic of Srpska. One of rare things I remember the date is that. It was 27. January 1995. That was Sveti Sava BBS. Well, order is to say the background of making such a thing. The BBS was a BBS of Sveti Sava Grammar School where I have studied. We have had a very nice principal who gave us a non-stop telephone line so from the beginning Sveti Sava BBS was one of those serious BBS-es (worked 24hrs a day). Not long after that we saw that we would be not anything but a file server if we wouldn't do something in conferencing direction. So we netted. We entered the, in that time, greatest Yugoslav Network (SETNet) and became one of the most active members of it. Soon after it we have started to go over in Belgrade on conferences, met some nice people, ... Some year later we knew it is time to move on. Few months before that we installed a Linux on one of computers (two :) Then, I left Branko to do it, and I have reoccupied my attention to the company from the beginning of the story of my life. The Linux System in school is still working (it is now known as RASTKO on 079/11-629) but sincerely, there was no progress since me and Branko left all that. And for some time I runned a closed system for that company which was e-mail connected to the world. I have administered all that. I connected it to faculty of electrotechnical studies in Banja Luka. At that time I further directed my interests in networks and system administration. Unfortunately I was, sincerely, way to far ahead of them and it didn't work for long. Then, again, after that my computer life has just about stopped. I was in it, but not actually as I used to be. I have started to work for IFOR, OSCE, SFOR and various other strange and meaningless shortcuts, and now time to time I still work for OSCE. The rest of the story is just being written ... I have come to Belgrade to 'learn for life'.
